Rupa Govindarajan, DMD, owns and operates Sam Bass Family Dentistry, a private office striving to provide excellent dental care with a personal touch to families in Round Rock and the surrounding communities. 

Rupa, or Dr. G as her team and patients call her, graduated from the University of Pittsburgh where she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry. She practiced in Arizona before moving to Texas with her husband and two daughters 8 years ago. Dr. G and her family live in the neighborhood and are proud to serve many friends and neighbors. You may see her husband around the office providing business and IT support, and her girls are impatiently waiting until they are old enough to work alongside their mom. 

Dr. G is a strong supporter to the local school district and partner of the PTA and is proud to give back to  the community where she lives and works as a part of several non-profit organizations. She serves as the cultural chair of Sai Temple in Cedar Park, and when she is not in the office, she can be found volunteering at local community or events or she may be teaching her native language, Tamil, to children at the Austin Tamil School. Dr. G also puts her dental knowledge and skills to use volunteering with Sacred Heart Community Clinic in Round Rock. 

At Sam Bass Family Dentistry patients receive a full range of dental services with a focus on preventative care, general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, restorations and the diagnosis and care of periodontal disease. Dr. G is well qualified to care for infants, children, teens, and adults and is always happy to see the whole family! 

Dr. G brings more than 13 years of experience as a dentist who exhibits genuine care and kindness to each patient. Meet Mari, who is a Registered Dental Assistant and our Asst. Office Manager, born in Chicago. Currently resides in Hutto with her husband and three boys. Mari comes to Sam Bass Family dentistry with over 10 years of experience in the dental field; first as a dental assistant (8 years), before becoming our assistant manager in 2016. She enjoys meeting new faces every day and making everyone feel welcome in our office. When out of the office Mari loves to travel and spend time with her family. Her passion is family and helping others. Her favorite vacation spot is Cabo San Lucas. Her future goals are to continue to grow her family as well as continue to grow with us at Sam Bass Family Dentistry.

Meet Alanna, who is a Registered Dental Assistant. Alanna was born and raised in Austin, TX, and attended school in Denver, CO. She is excited to continue growing in the field and caring for patients with Sam Bass Family Dentistry. Alanna loves to travel, spend time outdoors, and is a dedicated dog mom. When she is not at work, Alanna spends time on her favorite hobby, ceramics. Alanna loves spicy Thai food and Thailand is also one of her favorite travel destinations.
